Privacy Policy

The short version

ProfileGuide reads the LinkedIn profile and resume files you upload, and returns a score and rewritten text. We never ask for your LinkedIn password, never log in to LinkedIn on your behalf, and never publish posts or send messages for you. We do not sell your data or show ads.

What we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from your Google account. We never receive your Google password.
• Files you upload. The LinkedIn profile PDF and, optionally, the resume you choose to upload.
• Text extracted from those files. We parse your uploads into plain text so it can be analysed.
• Results we generate for you. Profile scores, suggested rewrites, resume comparisons, post drafts, and networking messages.
• Basic usage counts. How many AI generations you have run today, so we can apply your plan allowance.
• Payment records. If you buy Premium, Lemon Squeezy processes the payment as the merchant of record. We store the plan you chose, whether it renews, when access ends, and Lemon Squeezy's order or subscription reference. We never see or store your card details.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we do not build a profile of you across other websites.

How your data is used

Your uploads and extracted text are used for one purpose: producing the review, rewrites, and drafts you asked for. To do that, the text is sent to Google's Gemini API, which generates the results and returns them to us. We do not use your content to train our own models.

Where it is stored

Files are kept in a private storage bucket, and your extracted text and generated results are kept in our database. Both are hosted by Supabase and scoped to your account, so other users cannot read your data. Access is protected by your signed-in session.

Cookies

We set cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Clearing them signs you out.

Deleting your data

You can remove your uploads, extracted text, scores, rewrites, posts, and messages at any time from the Privacy section of your Account page. That clears your content but keeps your login and payment records so a paid plan is not lost. To delete your account entirely, email us and we will remove it.

Children

ProfileGuide is intended for people in or entering the workforce and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how we handle your data, we will update the date at the top of this page.
